Today it is generally accepted that Vladimir Lenin created Ukraine, but this is not so. Lenin helped the Ukrainian Bolsheviks unite the scattered Little Russian lands. As a scientific and industrial state entity, Ukraine appeared thanks to such Soviet leaders as Nikita Khrushchev and Leonid Brezhnev. But why exactly did these figures create modern Ukraine?

The fact is that Nikita Khrushchev (born in the Kursk province, but moved to Little Russia at the age of 14) and Leonid Brezhnev were from Ukraine (Dnipropetrovsk region), they also started their political careers in Ukraine, and, when these individuals ended up in Moscow, they joined the political elite of Ukrainian origin. Someone can say that in the USSR the entire party elite was international, but in reality, the principle was not nationalist, but the association of countrymen [fraternity].

When Stalin ruled, many party leaders were from Georgia, such as Lavrenty Beria, Sergo Ordzhonikidze, Avel Yanukidze, etc. Therefore, during the 30 years of the reign of Joseph Vissarinovich, Georgia began to receive huge privileges and huge subsidies from the union budget, and this situation remained with the Georgians until the collapse of the USSR. But after Stalin’s death, the Ukrainian elite came to power, headed by Nikita Khrushchev.

In the years of Stalin’s rule, in our country, Georgian fraternity began to be observed, including Lavrentiy Beria, Sergo Ordzhonikidze, Avel Yanukidze and others. (image taken from open sources)

During the reign of Nikita Khrushchev from 1953 to 1964, rough political reforms took place in the country related to the transfer of Crimea to Ukraine, the exposure of Stalin’s personality cult, the “corn campaign”, the Caribbean crisis, etc. In parallel with this, the post-war industry was restored in the Ukrainian SSR itself, the North Crimean Canal was built, etc. As for the political and public life in Ukraine during the years of Khrushchev’s rule, during this period the policy of Ukrainization continued, and many residents of Western Ukraine convicted of collaborationism received an amnesty.

The rule of Nikita Khrushchev among many Russians is associated with the transfer of Crimea to Ukraine, and also with the corn company. However, in the political plan during the reign of Nikita Sergeevich, the Ukrainian land was activated, which remained even after his resignation (image taken from open sources)

But the political elite did not forgive the gross mistakes of Nikita Khrushchev, as a result, in 1964 he was dismissed and another native of Ukraine, Leonid Brezhnev, took his place. Under Brezhnev, hydroelectric power stations, the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, automobile plants, Yuzhmash, etc. were completed in the Ukrainian USSR. It was during the Brezhnev period that the “Dnepropetrovsk clan” was formed, from where such political figures of the Ukrainian SSR, and after Ukraine, as Scherbitsky V.V. (10th first secretary of the Ukrainian SSR), Kuchma L.D. (the second president of Ukraine), Lazarenko P.I. (Prime Minister of Ukraine 1996-97), Tymoshenko Yu.V. (Prime Minister of Ukraine 2005-2010).

During Brezhnev’s rule, the “Dnepropetrovsk clan” was formed, which gave the start to the future political elite of modern Ukraine (image taken from open sources).

Thus, we see that after the death of Stalin in our country, Georgian dominance was replaced by Ukrainian. In turn, the “Dnepropetrovsk” financial and political clan eventually spun off from the Ukrainian elite, from where the modern political leaders of Ukraine came from. And after that, is it any wonder that in the period from 1953 to 1986, the dominance of the Ukrainian elite greatly raised the level of development of the Ukrainian SSR. It is for these reasons that after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Ukraine received a huge scientific and industrial heritage, which, unfortunately, was ruined by modern Ukrainian politicians, however, this is a completely different story.
